We’ll gather at the Museum of Photographic Arts to celebrate you, our creative community, and the winners of this year’s One Awards. Enjoy bites and hugs as you reconnect with industry friends, schmooze and mingle with fellow creatives, and sip a cold cocktail provided by Ranch Rider Spirits while capturing memories in the photo booth. We’ll host guests in heart of MOPA before moving into the Joan and Irwin Jacobs Theater to recognize the recipients of the One Awards. Didn’t enter the show? We believe you still deserve to be celebrated. So dust off those dress shoes, grab your creative teams and friends, and let’s raise a glass. It’s time to celebrate! We’re hitting the ice for the San Diego Gulls on Friday, November 12th as they take on the Bakersfield Condors. Puck drops at 7pm, but with your ticket you’ll get admission to the Stella Artois lounge to mingle with fellow One Club members and creatives 1 hour before the game. If you’re interested in steps to kick start your design portfolio website and have industry questions, we have the event for you. Monica Moon, a Lead UX/UI Designer at Thermo Fisher Scientific in the Experience Design Center (XDC) will be speaking and giving transparent answers from real-world experiences. Monica has been honored to review many portfolio websites over 15+ years while working in both sides of the industry at agencies (as the Interactive Creative Director), and also in-house (helping to hire creatives). She has worked on over 100 websites and apps doing UX strategy and UI design from concept through completion. She geeks out over the creative process including content strategy (IA) and layout design, to marketing and branding. We want to share how you see the world, to humanize 2020, and to encapsulate this defining year that has impacted us all. We invite you to submit photographs, poetry, illustrations, videos, written work, music, and all forms of art to this project. At the end of the year, we’ll curate this collection into a printed and digital experience to be shared. Any proceeds from the printed book will go to supporting the San Diego creative community.
