Cubicle Contagion / Canvas
Submitted By Adam Paul
Description
Cubicle Contagion was executed as a web spot to promote the Canvas Brand. Canvas is a cloud-based software service that enables users to collect information using mobile devices, share that information and integrate with existing backend systems.
The spot presents a traditional, paper-based office as a moldy 70's era horror film overtaken by a 'paper virus' known as Acute Paper Influx Syndrome (A.P.I.S.).

Objective
The objective was to execute a funny, shareable web spot that could be repurposed for different running times, with potential serialization in the future. On a start-up budget.
Technical Challenge
Maximizing a tight budget is always a challenge, but in this case, we were also shooting a completely different spot on the same day. We doubled our cast between spots, utilized a flexible location and relied on deft scheduling from producer Jed Mortenson. Our VFX challenges were managed by Herman Nieuwodt, creating a creeping, flying paper menace photo-realistic on a budget.
