New App from Griffin Archer and the Denver Museum of Nature & Science Lets You Trade Your Way Across The Silk Road.

Participate in the lively exchange of goods as you virtually trade your way from China to the Roman Empire. Users begin the experience with an inventory of commodities ranging from saffron to tea to gold thread. Each commodity has a hidden point value attached. Trade well and become a Master Merchant. Trade poorly and earn the title of lowly Camel Groomer.

Produced for the exhibition, Traveling the Silk Road, at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, the experience is available on iOS, Android and on the Museum's web site.

Objective

Because the history of the Silk Road is not familiar to most people, we wanted to arm potential visitors with knowledge prior to visiting the exhibition so they could fully enjoy the Museum experience. The app was sent to school groups, Museum members and shared on social media channels.

Technical Challenge

Leveraging reusable code across web, iOS, and Android with Adobe technologies.
