We created this pro-active film to highlight the risks of not having a smoke alarm as simply and starkly as possible.

Objective

Despite numerous campaigns over the years to inform people of the dangers smoke alarms still don't find their way into every household. Rather than focus on free fitting or ease of installation we chose to remind everyone of the real risks of complacency.

Technical Challenge

Obtaining our desired level of panic from a 7 year old was difficult. As soon as any minor difficulty was experienced while holding his breath, our actor exhaled. The finished film stitched together a number of takes to present as seamless a one take execution as possible.
