No special effects. No sound design. No music. This is a simple and powerful radio spot. To encourage people to call the hotline and report illegal firearm storage, we showed they have their own weapon to fight against this crime.
Objective
About 70% of homicides in Brazil are committed with a firearm. Most of them are illegal firearms that are kept hidden in "favelas". On the other hand, Disque Denúncia is a hotline that receives information about illegal firearm storage. Many people who live in "favelas" know the location of these firearms. So, how can we encourage them to call and report? We used the media with the best reach to talk with them and generate awareness of the hotline number. With their own weapon, they became fearless to fight against this crime.
