Description

Dew VR was not born from a brand challenge or the byproduct of a creative brief—we simply wanted to use still-emerging virtual reality to bring Mountain Dew fans closer to the action sports experiences and icons that they love.

Objective

The Dew VR platform is all about the forbidden, the exclusive, the remote—access to adventures that might not otherwise be possible without future-forward technology.

Technical Challenge

There was no precedent for live action VR, so we underwent extensive R&D—including 3-D printing our own camera rig prototypes. To make the experiences as immersive as possible, we wrote custom code to optimize the live action viewing experience.
