Agencies have been doing “spec creative” in pitches since the Mad Men era. But what happens when you ask people in other industries for spec work? Zulu Alpha Kilo decided to find out. We asked two unsuspecting short order cooks for a spec breakfast. The results were completely unscripted. The video served as a follow up the popular “Spec” film created and shared at Strategy Magazine’s Agency of The Year award show.
Technical Challenge
ulu is one of the few agencies that steadfastly refuses to do spec work for potential clients. Our objective was to skewer the notion of pitch work while proposing to the ad industry: it’s time to do things differently.
