The Stolen Collection / Newport Beach Police Department
Submitted By Mike Frey
Description
Newport Beach California is known for its safe, affluent neighborhoods and eye for fashion. However, 96% of all crimes reported in Newport Beach are property related. The vast majority of property thefts in the city are of high-end designer purses left unsecured in vehicles. ETA Advertising, in partnership with the Newport Beach Police Department, developed a campaign to educate the residents of Newport Beach about the importance of securing their valuables. The campaign, which was designed to resemble fashion ads, featured male models with women’s luxury items.
Objective
The objective of the campaign is to decrease property crime rates in Newport Beach by educating residents about the importance of securing their property.
Technical Challenge
Getting an experienced fashion photographer and models on a limited budget.
