Next Creative Leaders 2020

By The 3% Conference & The One Club on Oct 29, 2020

2020 marks year six of the Next Creative Leaders competition and partnership between the One Club for Creativity and The 3% Movement. While every Next Creative Leaders announcement has brought renewed hope for a more inclusive tomorrow, announcing this year’s winners during a global pandemic, a pivotal US election, and a true reckoning around racial inequality makes this year’s announcement feel all the more impactful. We’re coming to the end of a truly challenging year on our planet and in our industry, and we’re all looking for a reason to believe we’ve got a brighter future going forward. Lucky for us, these 25 Next Creative Leaders offer us just that kind of optimism.

This year’s Top 10 class is our most global representation yet. Debuting our first ever Regional Winners has given us the opportunity to showcase even more brilliant creatives from all corners of the world. Collectively, our winners have lent their creativity to making emoji and speech technology more inclusive, challenging bias in healthcare, and giving a voice to undocumented immigrants and sexual and domestic violence victims. During a year that has reminded us of how connected we actually are on this planet, it feels fortuitous that we would get to celebrate more global work that reminds us of our humanity.

So as we adjust to our "new normal," and start to dream about what the future will look like for our industry and the world—2020's Top 10 Next Creative Leaders and 15 Regional Next Creative Leaders—show us what is possible if we use creativity to make space for everyone and bravely step up to solve the problems facing our communities, our countries, and the world we call home.
