After months of decisions, discussions and debate, The One Club For Creativity is thrilled to unveil the winners of Young Guns 16! These 30 art directors, illustrators, filmmakers, photographers and designers of all types stood above all in this career-making, globe-spanning portfolio-based competition.
Ahead of the Young Guns 16 Ceremony + Party taking place on November 15, we are shining a spotlight on the various superstars who will be honored that evening.

What does winning this award mean to you?
Young Guns is the first award I've ever applied for and won. I take this award as a stamp of approval for uniqueness.
It’s not easy to be a successful creative. What sorts of challenges have you encountered to get where you are today?
I am still struggling with work/life balance. My art is also my lifestyle, and I can get so absorbed into the work, that I can forget to eat, sleep or text back friends.
How did you decide what to enter into Young Guns? Was it a challenge to curate yourself?
I was nominated by OlssonBarbieri, a design studio I collaborated on a few projects with. When I received their email, I thought "Why not?". I just went with my intuition, selecting projects that show my range and vision.
Can you name any past Young Guns winners who you look up to, whose work you admire or are even inspired by?
John Lisle's (YG14) illustration is incredibly beautiful phantasmagoria. I love his Tarot cards!
What keeps you going, creatively speaking?
Materialising bigger and bigger ideas, working in new contexts, constantly pushing my creative limits. It's the question "What else can I do that I have never done before?"
Now that you’re a Young Guns winner, what’s next?
Hopefully it will serve as a one more step closer to realising some of my dream projects - designing a VR game, holding a yearly inflatable parade and building my own theme park.
