A PAIR OF SINGLES
Fighting fashion waste by rescuing single sneakers and giving them a second life as unique pairs.
Context:
NIKE is one of the best in the game at recycling their products. Still, if one shoe is damaged in a pair, both shoes (even the perfectly wearable shoe) get recycled.
Problem:
Millions of viable shoes are discarded or recycled every year simply because one half of the pair is damaged or missing.
Insight:
People crave a style that's truly their own.
Something impossible for anyone else to copy.
Idea:
Nike gives leftover singles a second chance by selling them as mismatched pairs, cutting waste, reducing production, and starting a movement for sustainability.
