Description

Renowned Danish chef Frederik Bille Brahe’s new restaurant at the Statens Museum for Kunst (National Gallery of
Denmark) in Copenhagen is named Kafeteria. The objective was to create a fun and inclusive branding and to design
printed collateral such as coffee cups, stamp cards, menus and signage, all while fusing Danish minimalism with the
museums colorful and diverse art and cultural offerings and Danh Vō’s restaurant interior design. The identity system
complements the custom typeface (designed by Ayaka Ito) and logotype and draws inspiration from these rounded
letter shapes, creating a dynamic mark that resembles canteen-style compartment plates, cups and cutlery. The mark
extends into a colorful brand pattern, used as large graphics throughout the printed collateral, website design and
social media posts.
