When it comes to snacking, you usually have two choices: a snack that tastes good or one that’s good for you.

So, how did PopCorners® let people know they had a better option?

We called up an iconic duo from the highest-rated show of all time, Breaking Bad. Instead of making, uh...other stuff, we gave Walter White and Jesse Pinkman a better choice…making PopCorners.

Knowing how many passionate Breaking Bad fans exist (35% of Americans have binged watched it), we had to reprise the show in a truly authentic way.

So, we not only brought back Walt and Jesse, but also Tuco, a popular villain from the show, and Vince Gilligan, the show’s creator, to direct our campaign.

We used camera angles and dialogue that mirrored actual Breaking Bad episodes, and we even used original wardrobe and set pieces, including the RV from the pilot.

But what did fans think?

They thought it was TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT!

From the moment we released our teasers, they praised our campaign – and our snacks – replying to posts with Breaking Bad memes and quotes and gifs, hailing it “the greatest commercial ever,” and even making fan content with our campaign assets.

Leading up to the game, PopCorners was the #1 talked about brand on Reddit. We appeared in more Super Bowl headlines than any other brand advertising during the game and garnered billions of earned impressions across 1,602 media placements, which meant our share of voice in earned impressions was #2.

We made 88 “Best of Super Bowl” lists, and we even broke into Ad Meter, taking the #5 spot.

In the end, PopCorners not only gave Walt and Jesse a better option, but let hundreds of millions of Americans know they have a better option, too.
