The Real-Life 'Yimsu' Story of Teacher Bally: The film features an LGBT English teacher in Thailand, Theeraphong Meesat (nickname 'Bally'). She puts on outrageous makeup, including feather eyelashes and colorful wigs, to make sure her students pay attention in class and with the hope that it'll boost her students’ confidence in speaking the language. Despite receiving a lot of hurtful comments from people, including parents and teachers, she decided that those are not things she wanted to dwell on. Instead, she found the courage to smile strong' (Yimsu) through it all, because she could see the happiness from her students, as well as the improvement in their understanding, as a result.
