In the Middle East, rising food and fuel prices have contributed to inflation, which is expected to persist in the near term.
In IKEA’s commitment to keeping their items affordable for the many people despite current inflation, the company made the decision not to rise its prices of some products in Qatar and UAE. More than 80 products in total of all budgets, needs, and rooms.
The Inflation-proof campaign is built on the fundamental principles of macroeconomics. Inflation is a sustained increase in the overall price level of goods and services in an economy over a period of time. Suppose a company doesn't raise the prices of its products in line with inflation, while similar types of products in the same market are increasing. In that case, products will effectively become more affordable to consumers.
The campaign was launched in both UAE and Qatar, in economic newspapers as well as at IKEA’s social channels and OOH in UAE and Qatar.
